I got through book one and had no desire to continue and finish the trilogy.

I loved the trilogy dearly, considering it as a whole other genre as I am used to. Cusk is able to make one feel so much without being able to articulate specifically what exactly the feeling is. I am deeply moved by her ability to tell memories and shape personalities through single narratives, touching deep topics with a gentle touch of care.
