This is a book of poetry with characters that sort of "cross over" into other poems. This was a good book for getting me out of a reading slump, easy to digest and fast. Some poems were better than others but overall it was an interesting read with some good parts for self reflection.

‘as hard as it is for us to see sometimes, we all exist within the realm of possibility. most of the limits are of our own world’s devising. and yet, every day we each do so many things that were once impossible to us’ (198).

such a beautiful collection of stories, i almost cried at the end. it felt so personal to me i can’t even. every high school teacher should read this book… scratch that, every high school student NEEDS to read this book. lorin was correct once again !

It's been a while since I last read something this depressing. And it was quite a surprise from David Levithan. But towards the end, there are some uplifting stories, too. It's a lyrical book. For fans only.

This book was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. This is the second book I have read by David Levithan and he has not failed to surprise me at how wonderfully crafted his novels are. He is a beautiful, poetic writer and he will make you feel things that you never thought were possible.

I loved the premise of this book. 20 different voices sounds overwhelming and it is a little confusing because you do not know who is saying what, but you come to realize really quickly who is who when you realize that characters overlap each other and basically it's split - 20 people, each writing about someone else, so it's 10 stories told in 2 different points of views. It sounds so confusing but I PROMISE YOU, this book is so worth it. I literally wanted to book mark every page. I will reread this book over and over. So many passages that have stayed imprinted in my head. I freaking love this book omggg! PLEASE READ IT!

If my high school memories are to be trusted, the voices of these characters ring true.

Gave up on this one. Started off as poetry then realized I had no idea what was going on.
