⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Wow, another fabulous, dramatic novel by Nicole Trope. I had lived the books I've read and this is no exception. She has created strong characters who kept me engrossed from the first line!
Highly recommended

Gideon gets a call from Emily, his five-year-old daughter. The whispering man is back, and she and her mother Sarah are hiding in the cupboard. Sarah has suffered from some mental health issues, but Gideon really thought she had been improving. Now he feels guilty that he did not see that Sarah was struggling. Gideon is also recently engaged to Charlotte, who is eager to step into a mothering role. Will Sarah recover from her mental illness? Will Charlotte completely overtake the mothering role to Emily? Only time will tell.

Nicole Trope delivers another fast-paced thriller. The story alternates between Gideon, Sarah, and Charlotte’s points of view. The characters are all fully developed and feel like real people. As you read feel as though you share the frustrations of both Sarah and Charlotte. You also can feel how torn Gideon is as he feels forced to choose between them. I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys thrillers! I give it 4/5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

3.5 - This was a good fast paced little thriller! It was in 3 different POVS Sarah’s, the first wife and mother Gideon the ex husband and father and charlotte the new wife. The first half the book was a little slow but the chapters are short and it switched pov each chapter which kept it interesting. Than when got past the 50 % mark this thriller sped up real good! And there was so many twist and turns I did not see coming!!! I enjoyed it overall! Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book for a review!

If you are looking for a domestic thriller author that consistently delivers, Nicole Trope must be at the top of your list. Intense relationships. Realistic characters. Realistic events. Her writing just grabs your attention - easy to finish in one sitting.
Sarah carries tremendous guilt - so much grief experienced in a short time. In an effort to process, Sarah cuts her husband out of her life, forcing a divorce. Gideon complies - though he yearns for Sarah to allow him to help. Their daughter, Emily, caught in the middle.
Charlotte drives her relationship with Gideon - shortly after she proposed, Gideon places Sarah in care, his young daughter in their home full-time. And Charlotte loves it.
After a few months, Sarah is released and begins again with Emily.
Charlotte loudly informs Gideon Sarah isn't ready - but he encourages Sarah, supporting her progress.
Excellent read.

This is the first book I've read of Nicole Tropes and I am blown away! I'm already looking where I can get my hands on another of hers.. & I'm about to break my book ban for her!

This was a psychological thriller like no other. started this morning and didn't stop until I had finished... I wouldn't.. couldn't even. Proper spine tingling and gripping!!

The story told from several perspectives literally screws with your head. I was flicking through so quickly eager to know how this was going to turn out! Then right at the end boom a shocking twist!

Any fans of Thrillers.. get this!!! It's one you don't want to miss!!

This book will keep you guessing until the very end. Two families, one a new wife, her husband, and his daughter. The second family is his ex wife has mental issues and cannot be trusted with her daughter. This quick read has me questioning everything I read, wondering what was real. Excellent book!!!
