This is an intense one!!! (And super dark). It dives into what it would be like to be an abused sibling in a house full of other abused siblings. You want to think that once rescued, these survivors would be protective and bonded forever. But can that actually happen when you are each fighting for your own survival amongst physical and psychological torture? Girl A has been compared to Room…and I guess I see it. However this one isn’t light at all. Major downfall for me is that the chapters are about 80 pages long.

This snuck up on me. I wasn’t expecting to like it. I borrowed the audiobook from the library and thought I might end up returning it - maybe it was because with was listening to it but I was drawn into the story. Timelines jumping can be confusing but once I realized what was happening wasn’t hard to follow.
dark mysterious slow-paced

DNF'd it towards the end. It's well written, but not really suspense more literary fiction I think and I just found it so miserable to read.
