The book was okay. I didn't mind the characters and I loved the setting. But the ending was completely ridiculous. The last 10 pages of the book felt like an afterthought to make a trick ending, which I did not appreciate.

Fue una lástima porque este libro ha podido ser más. Su ambientación, personajes y plantamiento estaban en su punto perfecto. Pero la trama se desdibujó muchísimo y el final fue completamente vacío. Este libro le faltó muy poco para ser una buena historia.

I mean…Italians and wine and murder in Napa Valley and Italy. And then having Nora Roberts write the story…. It doesn’t get much better. At first I was a bit put off because there are a lot characters to keep track of, but they all come together and make sense quickly enough. Nora is such a great author, I felt like I was every where the characters were.

3 1/2 stars.

An oldie that I still managed to enjoy. I like NR's standalone contemporary novels. They are sometimes much better than the trilogy. As NR always does, she made the characters enjoyable (though a little perfect, I'm realizing now) and managed to convey the family dynamics beautifully. The two kids in the book are fleshed-out and realistic. One side-effect of reading this book is that it makes me want to try wine ( I haven't before).

I loved this book. Nora Roberts kept the mystery intriguing to the end and the romance was well written and exciting. I would recommend this to romance and mystery readers alike. Also there is a list of talk about wine so you may find yourself reaching for a glass while reading this book.

Good romance story with a little suspense/mystery plot to keep it moving.
