This book was really interesting to read. I was fully intrigued in the plot! However, I can't say a lot more than that I liked it, without spoiling to much about the series. I like the friendship between Jacob and the other peculiar children and the friendship and bond between Miss Peregrine's peculiar children. It's heart-warming. The pictures in this book were not really creepy. I am still traumatised from the pictures in the first book...
I really like this series so far. Maybe I will buy the other books as well. It's kind of sad that I started this series so late. I would have LOVED it in my teenage years.

I wish we had heard about the library of souls earlier in this trilogy, because it felt like something Riggs came up with on the spot. It kind of reminds me of how in Harry Potter the deathly hallows were introduced so late, which I hated. Everything we had established about the wights' plans was brushed away as lies and false information. Also, when I look back on the second book, I realize it did almost nothing for the plot at all... we got new characters and developed the original ones, but the one event that mattered to the series happened in the very last chapter of the book and really could've happened anytime before that. Which makes me really not want to reread it in the future.
I'll give this book specifically 4.5 stars but the series as a whole probably a little lower because of the sudden plot change.
