I didn’t get into this book as much as Harper’s other books. Some of the plot line and resolution just didn’t make sense. However, the ending did leave me excited for the next book, so that is a win.
How does Helen Harper keep surprising me?! I’m normally very good at guessing who the bad guy is, but with this series I’m always second guessing myself and am never right! That’s true talent, I tell ya.
This was another fun read. The series is quickly becoming an addiction for me.

I'm giving this one 4.5 stars. I really like the series, but wish it would have been looked over one more time for grammatical and alignment issues. There were several sentences that appear to be missing a word and a couple instances of T
his kind of error, that I feel like should have been easily caught. Storyline wise, I really like the book. Wish the ending was a little different, but I am looking forward to reading the next book.

4 Stars
Ivy Wilde, the world's laziest witch, is enlisted by the Hallowed Order of Magical Enlightenment to spy on the latest season of her favorite Reality TV show, Enchanted. Unfortunately for Ivy, dismembered participants, reanimated corpses, and exhausting challenges are putting a damper on her determination to do as little work as possible.
This second installment in the series is just a charming as the first. Ivy is a very engaging heroine, and it is fun following along as she finds herself chasing down clues despite her preference for long naps.
The focus on Enchanted, a Survivor-like Reality with fake and talentless witches endeavoring to perform magic tasks, is a not so subtle critique of the fraudulent and superficial programming on offer today. One cannot help but laugh at the irony of a real witch pretending to be a fake witch on a show with fake witches pretending to be real witches :)
The mystery itself is the weakest part of the story mainly due to the fact that the eventual revelation of the culprit and motive have very little foundation in the narrative. There are numerous red-herrings and subplots that build tension, but never really come together to form a cohesive storyline.
In terms of Ivy romantic escapades, there are some excellent developments in her relationship with the serious yet hunky Raphael Winters. Their chemistry and banter are delightful.
All in all, an entertaining sequel and I look forward to listening to the next one soon.
