This ends really abruptly, so much so that it is almost a cliffhanger. It still has all the fun of the first but not quite as much for me and her TSTL moment, which she doesn't have at all in the first book, although small, made me a little disappointed in her. So the out of character moment that put her in a bad position and the abrupt ending just made it not quite as good. Still there were laughs and crazy times so very entertaining.

We see that the nurse smiles so of course our heroine is alive, but we know that from the next book too.Spoiler
She does not seem to blame people without proof and not to let the accused even answer questions? Almost kills the wrong person and gets captured by the really baddie. Well that just doesn't seem Ivy and I was disappointed.

An author who gets me
Can I just state how rare it feels to see a romance where the characters don't act stupid about their love? Not just in dumb and in love, but self denial, it's for the best, will they won't they hooey. Both of the characters in this know what they want, and that they want it is never in question- just akwardly feeling out how to get there, and THAT I can get behind.
Oh yeah, also the plot! was great much good

So fun! Not quite as fun as the first book, tbh, but I enjoyed it a lot, and stayed up too late to finish.
