New Moon is very hard for me to read sometimes. Stephenie Meyer describes depression and grief so well in this installment. If I'm not in a good mental place, then I often feel just as downtrodden when I read this story. The loss of someone you love is so anguishing. Because I know how the whole series ends, New Moon doesn't affect me as negatively as it did the first time I read it.

I enjoyed it, quite a few frustrating decisions but I am thinking of how amazing it would have felt to read this when I didn’t know the entire plot because of the movies. Some of her feelings were difficult to read because I understood them as well. But overall I’m enjoying it. It has flaws so it’s not the best but I’d recommend it. Also team Jacob even though I know that can’t happen I love Jacob.

I truly loved this book. I felt like I was falling in love with Jacob lol. I loved how in this book we got more information about Jacob, his transformation/transition and his pack. I think it only solidified how selfish Bella is but we knew that lol. This book had a sloowwww beginning but once I got a good chunk read I was glued.

i still really enjoy rereading these but this one just felt a little long to me. maybe it's just because i know the story so well. but multiple times i kept thinking, how much longer until we get going? i also feel as though edward should have done a bit more groveling but whatever. bella and jacob's friendship is so intense in the books as well, it hurts a bit more...
