What a read! I think this book would remain as my top-one favorite, for a good time from now! :)

I loved this little collection of stories. Having read and enjoyed Woolf's novel Mrs. Dalloway, this collection was very intriguing. There are certainly similar themes in both works, but this collection focused more on individual people who were never introduced in the novel. Style is very Woolf. I would highly recommend this collection, especially to avid Woolf fans.

I really enjoyed this collection, also more than her regular short stories because the snippets had a theme. I think it makes a lot of sense to read the entire collection after Mrs Dalloway or to read the first chapter before Mrs Dalloway and all the other ones after, just for the chronological order of things.
All the characters are suffering somehow and are awkward at parties but Woolf manages to capture it differently each time and I enjoyed this feeling of being in Mrs Dalloways world a little longer and seeing it from other people's eyes.

Some great moments here, but obviously not as satisfying as the novel.
