What a delight! I had no idea this author wrote about gardening. So fun to see how much things are the same 90 years hence, especially knowing how much of the knowledge went missing for a good long during the better-living-through-chemistry years. Oh, to be able to gather horse manure from the street! The only caveat is his use of nicotine. That’s a no-no.

Extremt mysig! En handbok i hur en fanatisk trädgårdsmänniska tänker, resonerar och agerar i förhållande till sin trädgård. Började läsa i juni och tog den en paus när jag kom till höst-månaderna för det kändes inte alls okej att läsa mitt i sommaren. Nu har jag accepterat att hösten (snart) är här så bestämde mig för att läsa ut den. Vill definitivt läsa fler böcker i serien för skönlitteratur där trädgårdar tar upp mycket plats är bara så himla bra!!

This is a delightful snack of a book. I think all gardeners, no matter the size of the garden or the experience of that gardener, will recognize something of themselves in this book. The blind optimism of gardening is depicted in such a charming way that I found myself chuckling every other page or so, nodding in agreement with every gardener's foible that was described.
