I listened to the audio version and the Scottish accent was a delight. I will miss Eleanor, she has been a companion on run/ walks for a couple of weeks. This is a story or triumph but it is no easy journey. Eleanor suffered unspeakable trauma as a wee child and this is the story of how she makes her way back, more less to reality, as an adult. Many of the characters are rich and kind, she is blessed with finding kind people, which is a blessing in life and fiction, eh? I loved this book:)

Eleanor Oliphant is fine, living a narrow existence filled with routine and hiding from the truth of her past with copious vodka. But a few small things change and suddenly her life is snowballing

This book is a true lesson in kindness / learning to appreciate “the little things” that make for a good life. May we all be the Raymonds and Sammys and Bobs and Lauras the Eleanors we come across need.
