I cried so much in the end that my nose got blocked, solid narration, honestly just read it to reduce my physical tbr pile but it was a really good book, it's a bit boring in the beginning but it doesn't take away the twist that changes everything in the end

The author effectively just wrote an ending where it was all a dream and where the twist was pretty predictable due to it being done so many times. But she does it so well. I loved the integration of fairy tales to try and explain what happened and the ending has me both sobbing and shocked. I’m still slightly confused as to how they were all there for the whole of summer 17, but their departure was beautiful and bittersweet. An overall amazing book. 4.5 stars

Beautifully written and unexpected plot twist.

I thought the writing was lovely and the narrative well crafted, but it is no secret that the novel's highlight is its last part: 'The Truth'.

'We Were Liars' was a pleasant read overall, but besides the great plot twist in the end, it was nothing exquisite, but if you ask me if this read was worth it, I'll answer that rightfully so!

Not many books with so-called plot twists manage to hit me with surprise. This one left me in awe staring at the ceiling, feeling like I was in Taylor Swift's song, exile: 'You never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs)'.
