initially put three stars, but that didn't feel right. i enjoyed the way this was written, lana felt like she could've been a main character in an ali hazelwood novel in a good way. besides the "thank loki" & "thank thor" that was added in WAY TOO MANY TIMES, because that was the worst.

i would've told seth to fucc off, just saying. a decade later you're just now coming back to me? byeeee.

This was cute and the right amount of cheesy. I loved Seth and I enjoyed Parker a lot. I had a lot of fun with this and it was exactly what I was looking for!

Not having any idea what this whole book was about except for the exciting synopsis with How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days vibes, so I dove head-first into it and, that was an experience I hoping for.
I mean, this is my jam, second chance romance with office riverly with insanely good chemistry. Lana and Seth were great to read about. I loved their antics, but more than that I loved the complexity of their relationships.
The second half of the book was extremely sweet – it was a journey of discovering lost feelings and learning how to fell in love all over again.
All of that said, if you simply like great and well written contemporary romances, then this is the book for you.

I can't wait to see what else this author has in store for the future!

I mean the concept of this book is interesting, but them as a couple just made me ick. Not in the way that he gave me the ick. I just think the communication was awful between them and he maybe hoped to much that telepathically he would let Lana know about his feelings.

I just didn't love this and didn't passionately hate it. I am indifferent.

I had a lot of issues with this book. The character acted younger than their ages. Weak resolution with the main conflict. Only a few moments throughout where I was interested. I would have DNF but I did a buddy read.

It’s so hard to express how good this story was. It’s definitely now one of my favorite romance novels. I read it almost entirely in one sitting cause I just had to know how it ended. Usually books in this genre follow the same model but I was honestly on the edge of my seat the whole time.
It was such a great take on the big tropes by having both friends-to-lovers and enemies-to-lovers. There was also a lot of comedic relief throughout the novel, which solidified it as an amazing romcom like all the nostalgic movies it referenced. It mentioned How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days a few times and it really reminded me of it — not in the plot but in vibe and the joy it brought me.
I’m just absolutely in love with the story between Lana and Seth. There was just so much intensity and longing throughout the novel — it felt like I was living it! There’s a major quote in the story that just took my breath away and it hits you like a ton of bricks when it happens.
There was also so much beyond this story besides romance. It was hugely about finding yourself and really highlighted the importance of therapy and communication. Lana’s story is really touching and she’s one of the best leading ladies I’ve seen.
Highly, highly recommend this one!!

Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review. And thanks to Falon Ballard for sharing this story with the world.
