I just finished reading this on my Kindle app and loved it. This collection was very interesting and entertaining to read. I enjoyed each story in this collection but, The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle, The Adventure of the Speckled Band, and The Adventure of the Copper Beeches were my favorite.

Classic Sherlock Holmes at its finest. This collection of short stories are creative, entertaining, mysterious, and a bigger window into the fascinating lives of Holmes and Watson.
Listening to an audiobook makes the experience even better.
This is the third book in the Sherlock Holmes series, and I think it was the best yet. The logical leaps of Holmes's deduction are easier to swallow, and his honorably misanthropic personality shines through. I think these books are closer to the Sherlock Holmes persona that modern readers who have never read the actual Holmes cannon think of. It is a bit disappointing that the cases seem to hinge more on reasoning about human nature and motivations and less on actual observation for which he is more well known. However, this makes it easier to "guess ahead" because the reader has a more complete set of facts than when Holmes tells all the things he observed but Watson didn't relate after a crime is solved.
Being a collection of short stories, the plot comes and goes more quickly which keeps things light and a bit more fun than the first two novels. Mercifully, this also avoids the worst part of the first two novels: prolonged flashbacks that do not actually influence the solution of the mystery at hand.
