Some continuity issues yet again. Plot was rather predictable once again. Nonetheless, a quick and fun little ear bud nibble while working/driving.

Insta love and cuteness here. Jaxon and Macy both need stability in their romantic lives for their personal problems, so why not get fake married? Well of course... lol

Insta loves aren't my fave trope, but with novellas, they are expected, so I wasn't super shocked. But this one was decent. And obviously, I'm going to finish this series.

I think I liked this book because in spite of what Jax believed about relationships, he had Macy's back. I often wondered if his family ever really acknowledged Jax's true personality and feelings before he became involved with Macy.

This was a good marriage of convenience tale. To give Macy credit where credit is due, she saw Jax's true character. I admired Macy's devotion to her sister, and her self control with dealing with Milan (the evil stepmother). Although, Jax helped her a lot with that.

This turned out to be a sweet, sexy romance with a great HEA.

I adored Jaxon and Macy's story. Jax starts off as a bit of a screw up who is trying to get his life back on track, but things keep going wrong. Macy has been caring for her sister and suddenly Hannah's mom wants her daughter back. Well, nothing is as it appears and Macy & Jaxon team up to create a fake marriage to solve both of their problems. What they don't count on is falling in love. I adored how Macy handled her sister, even if it was hard for her. There was never a question if Macy was doing the right thing. Jaxon's support and honesty with Hannah helped them bond. I really cannot say enough good things about this story and now eagerly await the next Dare/Prescott book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

MLB pitcher, Jaxon Dare needs to move away from his bad boy persona that has engulfed him and move more into the family man who has settled down. Macy is caught in a heated custody battle involving her step-sister and a mother who is only looking for money. When Jaxon and Macy are caught in a compromising position the only thing to do is unite in a fake marriage to save his career and help her keep Hannah. But can the two keep their feelings to themselves or will this be a marriage that is more than just convenience? I absolutely loved Jaxon. The way he brought out the best in Hannah and went into the relationship with his eyes wide open was a wonderful storyline to read. Another fabulous addition to an awesome series.

Jaxon and Macy were very... unexpected.
Sweet, sexy, and surprising would be my words to describe them.

My thought process basically went:
The playboy and the good girl?
Ha! Yeah, right!
She’s going to get her heart broken.

Between the drama, steam and ‘oh, how sweet’ moments I realised I may have been wrong.
Not only in my prediction but also with my assumptions of Jaxon.
