Great modern romance. Fun independent woman and a reformed playboy.

Another solid book by Alyssa Cole that really makes me wonder why I hadn't picked up her books sooner. Thabiso and Naledi were awesome leads, and I love Cole's style of semi-alternating chapters so we are as close to their inner thoughts as possible. While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, I found the plot a bit lacking, and ending to the non-romance related storyline to be a bit unsatisfying. In my opinion, the first half of the book could have potentially gone with out the "mistaken identity" bit and had gone straight into
"Both Thabiso and Ledi dealing with the politics of their relationship and the mysterious outbreak."
However, I recognize that may have robbed Thabiso of some of his character development, so who's to say? Definitely worth a read if you want to good romance!

Gosh, I really really loved this book. I loved the characters, the romance, the relationships, and I cannot wait for the second book (which is good, because I already have a copy from the library waiting to be started ASAP). I heart Naledi and Thabiso and I loved seeing them develop both as people and as a couple throughout the book. There is the "pretending to be someone else to get closer to romantic interest" as an essential plot point but I think Alyssa Cole handles it very well and keeps Thabiso from falling into, ahem, fuckboy territory because of it.
