I’m a little late to the party here, but this book was super cute!

This book was cute. I loved how they were able to fall in love despite their parents arrangements, though who are we to know if they were to fall in love without the arrangement? Its cute and I love Menon’s writing and can’t wait till her next novel comes out.

Super cute and cheesy. 3 instead of 3.5 because parts felt like a knock off of Born Confused.

So so wonderful! I loved how strong both characters were. They were so well-developed. This was such a wonderful, believable romance. Go read it!!

4.2 stars. Absolutely fantastic and fun read when you're in the mood for a light hearted contemporary. It was great learning more about growing up as an Indian American and this book was just so fun and heart-warming. The POVs had such a great distinction in personality for the characters, and I like how everything continues from POV to POV so we get insight on what both of the characters feel for the moment. Plus we don't have to deal with deathly cliffhangers because the next POV just continues what was happening.

This book was just really good at showing social and family pressures and I was always invested in what was going on. Gah it was amazing.

I just had such high expectations for this book, based off the hype I saw it getting back when it first came out . . . but I just . . . the writing . . . the main character . . . or really any of the characters. And just so much but yet nothing happens at the same time. It felt very fanfic-y (and I am a diehard fanfic girlie), but not in a good way.

It was pretty good and would consider reading the rest of the books associated with this one.
