What can I say other than it feels like the perfect ending to the Magnus Chase series. This was a re-read and honestly I loved the ending even more this time. I genuinely have so much love for all of the characters in this book and was going back and forth between laughing out loud to my eyes welling up at how sweet some moments were. Magnus and Alex will continue being my favorite thing, and Alex will continue to inspire me to welcome and embrace change in my life.

Annoying characters, boring plot, really gross stuff/descriptions. I.E. raven barf messages and goring descriptions that give me the ick. I dont think Im as into Norse Mythology as I thought.

This was a satisfying ending to the series! Here's a collection of random thoughts I have about this book/series:

I really liked getting to know the backstories of Magnus' hallmates. I also just think this series was great because of all the representation of the different characters! I also enjoyed the descriptions of travelling in Norway. I've been to Flam and I've seen Fjords so I could really picture what it all looked liked! It was really cool to learn about Norse mythology, but I still feel like I know way less Norse mythology than Greek/Roman. I wish there were more books because this series felt kinda short compares to the others, so I feel like there was just overall less character development. I also like how the time line overlaps with the Trials of Apollo (with the call to Annabeth at the end). Oh also, Jack (the sword) was my favourite, he was just so hilarious.

I believe this series tried too hard... The characters were not that memorable or lovable, the plot was boring, and the ending left questions unanswered and a lot to be desired.

I always love these books. I think my favorite thing was seeing Magnus and Alex’s relationship grow over the entire book.
