I don’t know what it is about these books but I’m just having so much fun reading them

Why do I feel as if Jenny Han stole something from me yet again? It's as if, she withheld too much, vital info about Lara Jean and Peter she doesn't wanna share. I could have given this only 2 stars if not for Kitty, really. But I actua lly rarely give anything below a 3 if I finished a book. But puh-lease, let's all not pretend as if we don't know the reason why Gen stopped being friends with Lara Jean and be astonished as she is in Chapter 55. The girl told you already before!!! What is selective amnesia? And you dedicated a chapter for that? For what? So, they'd have closure? Ugh.

Okay fine. Still four stars.

I liked this book more than the first, I liked the way Lara Jean is choosing herself as a priority, even when it's hard for her feelings to do so. I was rooting for Peter on the first book, he seemed like a nice enough guy, but in this book I felt disappointed, how he cannot handle and finish his situation with Genevieve, and how he lies to Lara Jean, I loved the new addition of Josh and completely wanted him to be with Lara Jean. Hoping on the next book we get the closure and love that our girl deserves 🩷

I love the honesty and the feeling Han always brings into her books of the pain and doubled nostalgia that comes with growing up. I also love the realistic, flawed characters. I enjoyed this book, though not as much as her others. still cute, and I love the sisterly bonds in this series. Peter is not someone I'd probably ever date-- just seems too... macho? Gender normative? I dunno. Still, a nice read-- but if you're choosing one of her books to start with, go for Shug or Summer I Turned Pretty.

4.5

As always, Jenny Han sucks me in with her fantastic writing.
