This should be in the horror section as she had the perfect guy who wanted her, and she goes back to the arrogant, rude, selfish guy obsessed with his ex and never cared enough about lara. Anyway, very good and easy read and John was so much better than in the movies I can't believe they cut the good stuff.

I officially lost the nostalgia kick of the first book and am annoyed. I am probably too old for this series and that is okay, I want to get rid of them anyway.
Lara Jean and Peter were pretending to date but she didn't expect to fall for real. She is more confused than ever when another boy from her past and her feelings for him return to her life. Can a girl be in love with two boys at the same time?
I don't have the energy nor time for a sophisticated review, so I'm gonna keep it short and not sweet. I don't think Lara Jean and Peter really fit well together. Like not at all. Their relationship gives me nothing in this book and I really don't think they together are that great. Lara Jean and John (or Josh on that matter) would make so much more sense for me. I don't like Lara Jean, she is too quirky or whatever, just not my cup of tea. I feel like Jenny Han's female main characters are very annoying (TSITP trauma it is). Just no, I can't describe it for you. I am also slightly drunk and my brain has no words more words to give. Thanks for reading this shitty review (I couldn't care less right now and will sleep).

Who knows.

A fun, lighthearted read.

I don't read contemporary much, or like, ever really. But I am so glad that I decided to read this duology and get to know Lara Jean.

So much cuteness. I can't handle these books.

I can't handle Lara Jean and her beautiful teenage soul.
I can't handle all the sisterly love.
I can't handle the fun, and the games, and the high school scandal.

But mostly I can't handle John Ambrose McClaren.
Peter's cool too, but John > Peter. Duuuuuh.

I super wish there was going to be a third book.
I want to see her and Gen make up, work out their differences, heal and grow together.
I want to see her dad find love, and I want to see the girls get a step mom, (the good fairy kind, not evil).

I need answers!

I didn't like the first half of this book, but the second half was great. I think Jenny Han really captures what it's like to be a teenager navigating relationships. I think the dialogue is spot-on; I think the atmosphere she creates and the friendships and backstories are all so believable. I think my favorite thing in this book was how Peter was handled. In the first book, I found myself falling for him. In this one, I started to have doubts creep in and I found myself strongly disliking him. Now, I don't trust him at all and I don't think he's right for Lara Jean. Strange as it sounds, as a reader, I like the shift in character even though it makes me dislike him. So many times in teen romances, both sides of the love triangle are so great or it's very clear and obvious who the heroine should pick. In this, it's a little more evenly split, and I feel like the shift in their relationship was so natural and real. Can't wait to start the next book!

Man, I never thought I would love a ya romance series this much. It's so wholesome and makes me big happy.
