The first 25 chapters feel like they could have been cut down to just 5 or 6 chapters but the story finally picks up around half way
Honestly this book was very disappointing. They dragged on the hot tub fiasco for at least three quarters of the book and it didn't add much to the story. John Ambrose McClaren definitely made up for this issue, but I felt that his farewell to Lara Jean should've been more gradual, or Han could've given the make-up with Peter more depth. It seemed that Lara Jean made these decisions too abruptly without much reasoning and that's what really messed the book up for me.
i just love love triangles where both options are equally great. i'm so sad the movie didn't do this one justice, i loved this from start to finish
I really enjoyed this book! I agree with a member of my book club when she said that this book is even better than the first. I think this is primarily because Peter and Lara Jean's relationship is established which allows more room for conflict. I feel like the characters were more fleshed out and it's nice to explore the interconnection between them this time around especially the former friendship between Lara Jean and Genevieve. The only thing that I wasn't too keen about was the push for their dad to get into a relationship. It didn't really go anywhere especially since the focus on it was on and off. And I have to admit
I just found out there is a third book which I'm neutral about. This installment had such a sweet ending that I felt like wrapped things up nicely. But maybe it will be a good addition to the previous books.

I kind of wanted her to end up with John even though I do like Peter.I just found out there is a third book which I'm neutral about. This installment had such a sweet ending that I felt like wrapped things up nicely. But maybe it will be a good addition to the previous books.
Honesty hour? I loved the sticky sweet romance between Lara Jean and John Ambrose. I was so sad with her getting back with Peter. Sometimes you need some saccharine sugar coating, you know?
I would rate it more like a 3.75 stars, but it was still a pretty solid sequel!
I LOVE ALL OF THE BOOKS. And now that I have read the books the movies are just so much more confusing.

Haven’t held this much disdain for a book in a while. All that for her to end up with Peter again??? Girl please
