This was a little long. One of those books that could have ended about 6 times. I love the concept, but the first half was all sex and then the plot was shoved into the second half.

This would have been a 5 star book for me if it wasn’t for that ending I don’t feel satisfied at all about that ending plus like who cares about the election? So boring booo

If you're looking for a book to warm up that cold dead place in your heart, this is the one. THIS IS SO CUTE! I can't believe it's taken me this long to get to Casey McQuiston's writing but I'll definitely be picking up more of her books as I absolutely love reading real, romantic queer stories like this.

Henry and Alex are the perfect case of opposites attract and their chemistry is electric from the start. I was really rooting for them from the get go and the background story between the political campaign and the royal scandals kept the plot interesting and moving forwards. The way Casey McQuisition writes intimacy is so tasteful but still felt raw and real. My heart was aching for these two boys to make it work and I loved how this story ended, it was just perfect!

This was quite enjoyable. I wish I’d opted for either the print or digital format tho, as there’s a bunch of transcribed email and text correspondences here, and the repetition of addresses and user handles got a bit ingratiating. Plus, I wasn’t really a fan of Ramon de Ocampo’s British accent.

My quibbles are really just limited to the audiobook experience. This was overall a solid romcom!
