I'm disappointed to say this isn't my favorite. I hope I like it better the next time I read this.

Emma is a joy.  So much plotting of everyone else's happiness,  to notice the love of her life is right under her nose.

My main criticism is how wordy it is, but overall as someone who previously thought they didn’t like Austen’s work (having only attempted Pride and Prejudice before and not vibing with it), I’m thrilled with how much I enjoyed this. Funny and romantic, I adored the characters and just loved the whole journey. Again, a little wordy for my brain at times, but the positive aspects were more than enough to keep me involved.
