3.5⭐️ a fast-paced and a good read, something that isn’t too crazy and relatable to the reality

Meh. Nice that it was a quick read that kept me engaged most the time, but it just wasn’t anything special

I was really invested in this story and its characters! The writing is excellent, and I loved how it explored the perspectives of multiple characters, giving a well-rounded view of the events.
The bond between Niki and Sharon was so heartwarming, and I couldn’t help but worry for little Mia—she went through so much despite being just a child. The ending was satisfying, with everything neatly wrapped up.

This was GOOD. Told in multiple perspectives. Sharon, mother of social worker/attorney daughter, Amy, decides to let one of Amy's previous clients, Niki, move in with her as foster life as not been working well for her. Sharon swears she sees a child in the window of her neighbors, the Fleming's home, although they do not have a daughter - they only have a teenaged son. Wendy and her husband lost their daughter years ago, and have not lost hope in finding her.
When all stories interlock and intertwine, it makes for a great mystery and suspense story.

Steady Read, Not What I expected
I would equate reading this book to driving down a scenic route to a familiar location. No twists and turns, no surprises…just the same normal expected route and destination. For some reason I was expecting more…maybe more twists, a surprise or even some scary element…not that those things are required to enjoy a book, but at times they are appreciated and keeps you engaged. So, to sum it up…steady read and no surprises.
