Valuable practical lessons in how to combat distractions. I have implemented a few, like reorganizing my phone’s home screen and turning down the number of notifications I get even more.

Some good points in this book that I can implement, however some points were not and seemed to be included to increase the action items.

This book provides some practical ways to reduce distraction in every day life. It goes beyond simply admonishing how distracted modern life has become and really poses some  interesting and applicable tactics to reduce distraction that the readers can try out.

Favorite quote: “By thinking of yourself as indistractable, you empower yourself through your new identity. You can also use this identity as a rationale to tell others why you do “strange” things like meticulously plan your time, refuse to respond to every notification immediately, or put a sign on your screen when you don’t want to be disturbed. These acts are no more unusual than other expressions of identity, like wearing religious garb or eating a particular diet. It’s time to be indistractable and proud!”

I think this is a good book and there are some things I've taken away that will help me become better at being "Indistractible. "

My phone and I are in a bad relationship and I recognize that (I say this as I'm using it to log my completion and review of this book).

I'll use some of the tools in this book for myself as well as introducing them to employees in my workplace (I'm going to give everyone their own red light).

I skipped the section on kids and lovers as they do not apply to me.

Nice effort, but for all the years it took him to write this book (I believe he said 5), I felt like this book didn't offer too much new and insightful. Also, with all the changes that the pandemic has brought with people working from home and students taking classes from home, I definitely think this book could use a revised edition.

Cara biar tetap fokuss:
1. Alokasi kan waktu (time box)
2. Diskusi/refleksi untuk mencari tujuan apapun itu
3. Klo butuh fokus banget, matikan jaringan internet
4. Matikan suara
