Beautiful illustrations and great origins, but strange and not very enjoyable. I cannot figure out what age child would enjoy it.

"Have you ever woken suddenly, in the middle of the night, without knowing why? It's only your snow angel passing through, paying you a visit."

When the world becomes too cumbersome and the chaos of realism puts a weight on my mind, I like to find refuge in children's stories.

When reading children's stories, I feel my heart becoming light like a feather. This is what happened with Maggie O'Farrell's, "Where Snow Angels Go". The story revolves around Sylvie, in front of whom, during the night, a mystical entity appears. It is a Snow Angel and it has descended from the skies with a purpose. What is it? I won't give you any more details because I really don't want to spoil the book. 😉

The illustrations are spectacular, imbued with silvery snowflakes, wings, and feathers on almost every page, and the narrative made me experience the feeling of wonder and enchantment. For about an hour, I became a joyful child again and for this I am grateful to Maggie O'Farrell for writing such a sweet, charming story and to Daniela Jaglenka Terrazzini for creating splendid watercolor illustrations.

Time to make some snow angels. ❄

"When you make an angel in the snow, it is yours forever."
