Favorite Christmas/Winter story next to a Christmas carol!

Spotted this in the library by my favourite author and couldn't resist picking it up. A sweet story about the snow angel that comes one night to save Sylvie and her attempts to summon him again to understand how the concept works and then her insistence that all her family make snow angels. Beautiful illustrations, and perfect for younger children and for Adults to read to them. Slight wondering from me, did the angel really need to have a gender?

I listened to the audiobook. The narration was stellar and the story warm and touching. The story is easy to follow in the absence of illustrations, though I have no doubt they would enhance this magical tale!
