I love the story of Dorian Gray..this retelling was fine. Spicy! But the tale itself wasn’t everything I wanted.

I think I was expecting this to be more “supernatural” like the classic, not him destroying a portrait so it resembles what he sees in himself…

But the romance part was good… standard kidnapping with some spanking.

This one was good. I liked Dorian and Sylvia’s chemistry. And i liked how Dorian softened a bit throughout the book. I liked this ending a lot better than the first book.

Quick Quick read..

It's a different take on Dorian Gray which is ultimately what drew me to this book.

Kidnapped..
Spanked..

We love a good damaged MMC and Dorian fits that bill. Sylvia had a backbone at the beginning but then it seemed to soften the longer she was with Dorian well at certain parts anyways.
This was an easy light quick read for me and more enjoyable than I thought it would be.

Is it bad I expected more for this to be the Dark Romance category? Might be just me but it was light on the darkness, it was a sprinkling compared to what I think of Dark Romance.

Overall it was nice to read a book from a new to me author, now onto more!
