How much i adored to see anne and gilbert on this book... the proposal was so beautiful i just can't deal with it.

However, I'm not giving this one 5 stars because comparing with the first book, this is not as good. I don't know why though, it's just how I feel.

Oh, and the scene with the cat... that tormented me the whole book, I can't even describe what I felt reading it. Horrible and unnecessary.

And might i add how grateful I was when I saw that davy wasn't going to be talking as much as in the other book! I really dislike his scenes. And I missed Diana on this one :(.

Overall it was a very good book and I loved to see and and gilbert at college, and i laughed a lot with Phil.

And she was richer in those dreams than in realities; for things seen pass away, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
We are getting very, very wise, and it is such a pity.
There is so much in the world for us all if we only have the eyes to see it, and the heart to love it, and the hand to gather it to ourselves

I loved this third entry in the series not only because we get to see the delicious will-they, won't-they tension with Anne and Gilbert but also because Anne's growth is so delightful to see. I love that she is still fanciful and a little silly, but she has also managed to grow and mature into a wise and thoughtful young woman. Despite the plot points in this book being pretty different from the direction they decided to go in the second movie, Anne's personality and character growth are similar in both. She is learning how to tell the difference between dreams and real life - something she has been learning since the very first book but with real consequences now.

Can I go total fangirl on Anne now? I LOVED this book! This is my second time reading it - the first was in the summer of 2008 - and I don't remember loving it this much? But now I do. Now I'm totally here for it!

I am so jealous at Anne's ability to make and keep friends - especially in the days before social media. These people kept up with each other by WRITING LETTERS and they were all still the dearest of friends. We can still do that!

I wish I would have had a similar college experience as Anne - she lived in a lovely little cottage with women who were all so different than her yet still enjoyed each other's company and loved each other's quirks. They all worked so hard yet managed to appreciate nearly everything around them.

I loved each and every character, laughed out loud so many times, and totally adore Anne. I am so glad to be reading this series this year!!
