The smut in this book was good (although it was a bit much) and I really liked some aspects of how the relationship worked - like how jealous they were of each other since before something happened between them.
Having said that... I almost gave up reading this book a bunch of times (and I probably would have if this book was longer), it was wayyyy too cringe for me.
There was no plot, no character depth, no development of the relationship... they got together so fast, it was just way too fake. The ending was also rushed, which I was glad, because I was about to dnf it. 😅

I really tried to get into this book, I even took breaks but I just can’t. This book might just be too taboo with me. It has feeling of grooming with incest relationship and I just couldn’t. I even tried to pretend in my mind and change that they weren’t related but it’s a no for me

This was a sweet book, because you can tell that Gabrielle and James truly do love each other. This is 100% consensual between the two, and nothing happens while the FMC is underage.
5/5 on the spicy scale because of the taboo of the relationship. Also the dirty talk is very hot in this book.
