I really enjoyed Carly Simon's memoir! It's so well written, almost music and lyrical in its words. I listened to the audiobook version checked out from my local library, and happily it's narrated by Carly Simon herself. The memoir covers her childhood through her mid-30's and the end of her marriage to James Taylor. Titled Boys In the Trees, this is very much about all the boys she'd come across in her life, including her relationship with her father. There's tons of interesting gems and fascinating stories throughout, and it's definitely a top notch celebrity memoir.

Well, my bad because I thought this was about Carole King at first. When I realized my mistake, I still enjoyed hearing about Carly’s life but once again I can’t help but feel it was centered on men (hence the title) and I wish she had let us read about HER. She gave us glimpses, but it always centered on her responses to men…and I would have liked to just hear more about her. She was always putting herself down! And then the book felt like it abruptly ended, too. I liked her voice, though!
