☆☆☆☆
LOVED THIS!!!

synopsis:
darby is on her way to her mom and sister after finding out that her mom is sick but on the way there, she ends up getting stuck in a storm which forces her to stay at a visitors rest stop. she is met with four other people: ed, ash, lars, and sandi. as she passes on of the parked cars, belonging to one of the others, she finds a little girl who appears to be kidnapped. darby must find a way to save the kidnapped kid while protecting her own life from a kidnapped among them.

what i liked:
i loved how there were so many twists and turn and and i didn’t end up suspecting most of what happened!! it made me on edge and constantly wanting to read more and more. i loved how you got to see each personality and character of all of them and then something would happened and then you would question everything HSHDDJA

what i didn’t like:
there were like minor points in the story i felt could have been different where the characters could have made a more logical choice but it honestly didn’t take away from the actual fun and exciting read!

would i recommend this?
YES YES YES!!!!! i LOVEEEEDDDD this book so much it was just amazing!!! i love it so much that the same day i watched the movie (which obviously wasn’t near as good as the book) but was still suspenseful and nerve racking. this book isn’t too dark so i feel like a lot of people could read this!

Recomendo para quem gosta de um bom thriller cheio de reviravoltas e desfechos inquietantes.

Read this to take a break from a book I was having some trouble finishing and oh wow. This book swept me in within ten minutes and held my attention throughout the book with chilling plot twists and a beautiful ending.

Loved this!! Very fast paced and twist after twist

This book was a quick read but not an overly enjoyable one. The two main “bad guys” were not believable or menacing. The farting was lame. The sexist and racist jokes added nothing to the storyline. I really hated the weird unnecessary attraction that Ashley had for Darby. It’s the middle of the night, in a snowstorm, she’s trying to get to her dying mother, she’s at a rest stop. Why does she need to look hot? Why would this apparent psychopath that said she tasted like shit when he kissed her, weirdly fall in love with her so much so that he would marry her in another life? This attraction prevented him from killing her even when he was in an adrenaline fuelled rage. He is meant to be cold and calculating (he acts like everything is okay when you insult him and then he bides his time and punishes you at the right time), yet he is also impulsive (tried to break Darby’s nose even though it could mean ruining his cover). He loved her yet he still needed to kill her and punish her? This book is just so filled with violence against women bs. I honestly don’t know why so many people love it. I love a good thriller but I need some scares, some believable characters, and at least one likeable character. I did like the couple of mini twists at the end but not enough to make this more that a 2 star read for me.
