I had very high expectations and once again I was a bitte disappointed. I just feel like there was something missing in the plot. So many things were mentioned earlier in the book and then not talked about again later.
But there are also positive aspects in the novel. I loved the message of body positivity and the process of healing in both characters. There were some real comical parts and really wholesome moments!

This is the first book by this author I've read and it certainly won't be the last. From reading the blurb I thought it was a teenage romance which is a genre I love but it certainly isn't just a teenage romance.
The two main characters of this book go through so much together. It is certainly a unique coming of age story. I just wanted to keep picking it up, to turn the page and know what happens.
This book I felt was so well written, the emotions that the characters experience but also the emotions the reader experiences are powerful.
It was a 4 star read. I look forward to reading the other works of the other.

Okay, first things first: I've never seen a character with vitiligo on the page before. It wasn't mentioned as often as I would have liked, but it's definitely there. This was...less of a romance and more of a contemporary than I was expecting. This isn't a criticism in the slightest. I loved the romance that develops, but I also really enjoyed the way this discusses Molly's hospitalisation and her recovery and the way that the medication she's put onto impacts her life and her image of herself.
I wanted to reach into the book and slap Molly's mother at least a dozen times, and I was thrilled when Finbar confronts his dad about the way his grief is impacting both his children. All in all? Perhaps darker than I was anticipating, but a wonderfully told story that I very much enjoyed.
