What the fcuk did I just read....??!

I seriously have to wait and think on how to rate this one.... I need to let it simmer for a while. Maybe once my head stops spinning, and I figure out wth I just read

I can't even give it one star!! It was very well written but what a mind f***. Very disappointing !!!!

4.25 stars-okay this book was SO good. I didn’t rate it 5 because that is for books I really really love and could read over and over again…but this was so good.

I had absolutely no idea who the kidnapper was and was so surprised when it’s revealed. I loved the relationship between Senna and Isaac. It was heartbreaking and beautiful and I cried multiple times in this book-out of sadness, happiness, relief…and for a thriller to make me cry?! Wow. I finished this almost two weeks ago and I still think about it almost every day.

If my review can do justice to this book, my life is fulfilled.
To this day I still can't decide in which genre this book falls. Dark psychological thriller maybe?

This novel was just so many things. I did not expect the trajectory it would take, but I loved every part of it. I felt seen as I dove into Senna's mind. Love is a scary thing to allow oneself to feel because it makes us vulnerable to pain. I highlighted so many passages in this novel because the words are beautiful and stunning. I felt pain and anger as I read it, but also a sense of peace knowing I'm not the only one who feels this way about love and self-isolation in an effort to protect our hearts. I have a Mud Vein. We all do. But finding someone to love us despite it all is so rare. Finding someone who "stays all winter" is not easy, but this book made me believe maybe one day I will.

Wow that was a crazy read...a good crazy that is. I struggled with my rating for a bit because I LOVED the beginning of this book I was sucked in immediately but then the middle was just blah for me I found myself bored and even had to force myself to keep reading. Boy am I glad I did because I really did enjoy the rest of the story! I guess I just enjoyed the dark and twisted parts of the story lol I didn't LOVE the main character in fact she got on my nerves quite a bit so because of that and since it did bore me at times I am giving this one a 4.

Once in awhile you come across an author who can put into words the things you need to hear and feel. Tarryn Fisher is this author. Mud Vein is this book.

So many times I got angry at the main character, Senna for being so blind and reckless. That anger was a big part of what made this book so successful to me. It’s a very emotional thriller with trigger topics. So, if you’re one of those sensitive people please do not read this book. Your sensitive feelers will take a beating and encourage you to leave a bad review. If I could I would leave a 6 star rating. Tarryn Fisher is such a dynamic writer.
