An incredibly entertaining read. The story moves along from one catastrophe to the next, all the while narrated by the brave glib survivor. The Martian is a hard to put down, engaging read.

I found it a little slow because of the math and science explanations.  I did like all the humor in the story and the characters were strong.  I liked the movie better though 😳

I wouldn't have finished this if it weren't for English class.

I was going to give this a 3, but that felt too generous, so I bumped it down to a 2. Things got more interesting around chapter 15/16, hence the current 3, but if I have to wait more than halfway for a book to get more interesting, it isn't super great...

Mark was more annoying than anything. Maybe this was just me.
