 It's the meme;
 You ruined a perfectly good Murderbot. Look, it's got anxiety.

Lol. I loved this book. I thought Murderbot was very cute, is that weird?

It's a character focused story. There are not huge amounts of world building but the references to corporations acting pretty much as the do in current day is giving dystopian vibes. Which honestly says a lot about our world. Quick easy read that left me wanting more.
Questions like what happened in Murderbot's past? What will Murderbot do in the future? Do the other bots have just as vivid desires as Murderbot and only can't express it because they're trapped by the governor module?

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

WOW I LOVED THIS! one of my goals this year is to venture outside of my comfort in the romance genre and only reading books that have a romance plot/subplot, and this was my first of the year. this series came highly recommended by two of my online friends, and they did not miss!! i truly loved this and immediately went and put the rest of the series on hold at my library. the narrator did such a great job & i really like being in murderbot's head. i'm looking forward to continuing this series & seeing where murderbot goes from here.

Of characters close to my heart, SecUnit might be top of the list. It meant a lot to me to see it having the experiences it has through the series, and to see how other people coexist with it and with needs that they don't always understand. I don't always like unreliable narrators but SecUnit's denial is tenuous enough that I mostly just wanted it to be okay.
