Kepeä ja suoraviivainen mutta ei mikään unohtumaton seikkailu, josta teki hauskan uniikki näkökulma päähenkilörobotin sisäiseen maailmaan. Luen jatko-osiakin.

WOW I LOVED THIS! one of my goals this year is to venture outside of my comfort in the romance genre and only reading books that have a romance plot/subplot, and this was my first of the year. this series came highly recommended by two of my online friends, and they did not miss!! i truly loved this and immediately went and put the rest of the series on hold at my library. the narrator did such a great job & i really like being in murderbot's head. i'm looking forward to continuing this series & seeing where murderbot goes from here.

This checked off a bunch of boxes for me. Short, funny, found family, adorable robot who just wants to sit around and watch tv all day and is super awkward around humans? Yes please! Can’t wait to get the next one from the library.

And in their corner all they had was Murderbot, who just wanted everyone to shut up and leave it alone so it could watch the entertainment feed all day.

This was nice and fun. I just didn't find the plot particularly exciting or gripping. The other characters were bland and I didn't feel much for them. The concept of sentient bots, planetary explorations and corporate political entities controlling space travels were interesting though hardly original.

What I enjoyed a lot were Murderbot's snarky, pessimistic, and deadpan commentaries on itself, its human clients and the stupid company it belonged.

Murderbot is loveable and endearing enough for me to want to know more of its adventures/developments so I'll be continuing the series.

It was fine, there were some genuinely wholesome moments but all of the characters outside Murderbot and Dr Mensah felt one-dimensional to me.

The plot was okay, but readers miss out on experiencing the climax and I finished the book feeling confused about what the plan of the Evil Team was and what actually happened. I know it is a series so those questions I have are likely answered later, I just get the feeling the only reason the reader doesn't know what happened is because Murderbot didn't care enough to pay attention.

I definitely relate to Murderbot, yet I didn't fall in love with them like so many other readers have. The writing style just doesn't work for me so I don't think I will be continuing this series.

If you liked Gideon The Ninth but found it too gory, and liked A Long Way To A Small Angry Planet but found it too wholesome, this would be a good book for you. I read it in one days worth of bus commutes and missed all three of my transfers because i was so engrossed in it.

This was a lot of fun! Some of the plot got a little lost on me at the end, where it felt a little underdeveloped. However this was a novella and part of a series of going on 7 books now so I will give it the benefit of the doubt that those things will be expanded upon. The shining star of the book is its narrator, the self-named Murderbot. Its experiences felt like it really captured what it is like to work a boring job in a capitalist hell scape where profits are valued over human lives. I do feel like the discovery not all humans suck some are nice felt a little too sudden, you just have to take Murderbot's word for it that others have treated it like shit, but this was a fast paced novella and the ending made up for that as Murderbot still isn't sure it can believe that. I'm invested enough in its story to keep reading the series.
