Fun-loving story about a murder robot who really just wants to be left alone and watch TV shows. Light and quick read.

Small but mighty! I loved the pace and the characters. The story moves quickly but not in a bad way. The ending made me so happy! I'm heading into book 2.

A self-proclaimed murderbot who wants to be left alone and watch trashy TV but has to go protect silly humans

This book was unexpectantly hilarious. Seeing this "Murderbot" go through typical human reactions to situations was so funny. And I really liked the rest of the characters as well. Not to mention the actiony plot and ending.
I really want to know what's next and how the humans will react. I hope that we get to see them again cause I feel like they could become a cute little found family.
Also, we are definitely going to need more answers about the rogue scouting team.

a quick and VERY interesting read! i definitely will continue the series.

at first i was troubled by how the members of the crew (besides murderbot) never stood out as individuals. they all kind of blurred together for me. then i realized it makes perfect sense because we are reading from murderbot’s pov and murderbot doesn’t care much for humans. they just want to watch tv shows. (lmao so real) after realizing this (also explains the lack of world building, we learn things as murderbot does) i began to enjoy the story a whole lot more.

This was fun!

Murderbot was a fun character.  I liked how often it acted like a bratty teenager who just wants to hide and watch tv in its room.  And the story and worldbuilding were interesting.  I hope, and expect, the next books will further explore and expand upon this universe.
