4 stars for the whole series
The author successfully made me fall in love with Usui x Misaki. Especially Usui was a great character, but I also loved Aoi-chan, Igarashi and Sakura. However I had some problems with the violence in this series. Sometimes there seemed to be mental or physical abuse which was handled weirdly. And like most shoujo unfortunately the ending was rushed and left me quite unsatisfied and without proper closure.

This was a good, solid, in character ending and though we all want more from our favourite characters, I'm fully satisfied with this ending!

I don't know how I feel about that last volume. I'm not super satisfied with the ending. Of course I am happy that they get married and everyone is successful and happy (for the most part), but they aren't together as much as I would like. They basically spent the last 10 years apart. Which is no bueno. I would have liked an extra chapter that showed more of what happened in the those 10 years than the great summary that happened at the end.

But the series as a whole, grew on me as I read. It is a pretty ridiculous series and at first that bothered me, especially Misaki's "death to all men" mentality. But the shenanigans of the Idiot Trio and Usui's faces were hilarious and drew me into the series. The author has a pretty great sense of humor and I loved her bonus material. I also love how she incorporated the bonus stuff into the main story line, like Usui being a perverted alien. For once I think the story would have been justified by another volume. I feel the English family drama wasn't really worked out and the last year was pretty much Misaki being pissed off and studying for college entrance exams. I want more details! More resolution!

Overall the series and characters were amazing but I felt let down by the climax. I thought Misaki would’ve stunned and impressed everyone with her refined self.

Little bit disappointed with the ending.. it felt rushed and I wanted more of their lives after school but over all an amazing series. It’s definitely one I’ll read over and over again!

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Vol. 18
by Hiro Fujiwara

3/5 stars

This is the last volume in this series. Well, I feel that the resolution from this story is kinda being rushed. I mean, after come back from the UK, most of the story will tell us about Misaki's effort to get a good grade on the entrance exam. For me, the lovey-dovey scene here is lacking.

Then, there's a 10 years later gap at the end. I know that it would be make sense like that, but I don't think that it will be a smart choice either. Does shoujo manga will end up with marriage? I am super curious about this.

For the extra, at least we got some story from Igarashi. It's kinda interested with it.
