Notes: Sad but average. Nothing great to note and I could understand why people may hate the 'cross-dressing' aspect because it's genderfluid but not. I didn't hate it, but I do wish the author had gone about it differently.

rape/pedophilia, definitely worth reading tw's before picking it up. i sure wish i had! 

romance was ok, pace was too fast i didn't find it particularly believable. i did spend the last half wondering if it was implying that gender nonconformity is the result of sexual assault.

This was equal parts light hearted and devastating!! Please look up trigger warning prior to readings because the story moves fast and the unwarranted content just happens!!! There were parts that literally had me laughing aloud and other bits that’s gave me heart palpitations. I’m not sure what was discussed was explored as best as it could be. I almost feel that it was wrapped up in a bow without ever actually talking about the trauma of their childhoods.

I loved it! It was hard to read at some point (might have been good to have tw warnings) but the story is really nice. It's cliche, sure, but all the cuter for it. It's hopeful but does show very real, dark sides of us as human beings. It could have interrogated things more, and the fact that it has a happy end is good but it makes it as everything is resolved which it realistically isn't - although that gives a really hopeful note that goes well with the rest and that feels good too.
Also that cover and that graphic style are 10/10.
