It was great to end the year with a good one. IQ is back, and he's angry, vengeful and every bit as much of a crime-solving genius as Sherlock Holmes. Ide gives us deep-city LA and Las Vegas life with Mexican gangs facing off with Chinese gangs, human trafficking, drug debts and a hero who is as conflicted as he is fearless. This looks like the beginning of a great ride.

The sequel is not as good as the first book, but I love the two main characters, Isiah and Dotson. This story was more predictable and lacked originality. The audible performer is excellent.

Not into the violence but the character development is *chef's kiss.*

4.5 Big fan of Ide’s Sherlockian 21st Century LBC World. Love diverse characters; and their humanity. Love love the mystery solving adventures.
Read IQ first.

3.5 stars.
Still refreshing and less traditional.
I found the mini-flashbacks from several characters distracting.
I would still read the next one.

Second book in the series and while I still really enjoy the protagonist, the story wandered a bit, particularly toward the end. Not as tight as the first book in the series, but still entertaining and worth your time.

I am rooting for IQ all the way. I got a little confused at first, not realizing the story wasn't linear, but caught up quick. The Marcus plot line got a little convoluted but I didn't care much. And on top of everything else, there were some hilarious one-liners. Can't wait for Wrecked!
