This was an okay book. I did enjoy it, but ultimately I was expecting the end to be more dramatic. Maybe I thought it would be crazier after all the buildup, but it was kind of boring. I did like the writing of the book as a whole, and how at the end she calls her mom. It was nice to see the character growth. I recommend this book if you’re looking for a more literary fiction with a dash of mystery/ crime type of read and less thriller.

just….. nah. not for me. too many unfinished plot points, character development that makes zero sense, a love story with no backbone (therefore I’m not inclined to really care about it) but is the basis for every single one of the main characters decisions… also don’t know why this is labeled as a thriller. there’s nothing thrilling about everything playing out exactly like you expect it to. this is why I read fantasy - dragons will always be entertaining af.
