Great read when in need of some major angst. On my first read and on my re-read managed to make me cry.

Oh the angst! Will they ever get together! I was at 85% of the book and still worried! Caitlin Williams is a great Austen variation storyteller. Worth the all the angst for that ending!

The book desperately needs an editing pass. The comma splices drove me insane. Nevertheless I loved it. Those who complain that it dragged in the middle and was rushed at the end have missed the point and should remind themselves of the title of the book. This story isn’t really about Darcy.
I didn’t like it quite as much as Ardently by the same author, but it’s a unique JAFF with terrific character development and well worth reading. I would pay for a second edition with better editing.
