Christmas. Books. Bookshops. Love. Heartbreak. Food. Manors. Betrayal. Grief. Loss. Death. Infidelity. Addiction. Greed. Forgiveness. Growth. Music.
This was a lovely read. A hallmark movie if it were on a high budget with excellent writers and an A list cast. 10/10 will read again during the holidays.

There were so many character stories that I feel like each only skimmed the surface. More “Valentines Day” style ensemble cast that took me a while to feel invested in each couple’s outcome. Cozy and comforting read.

I thought this was such a great book! Once I got started it was hard to put down. I thought Emilia was such a great main character. I loved how even though her dad passed away she wanted to keep her father's bookstore The Nightingale Bookshop. I also love how this book had a great cast of side characters. How we got everyone's point of view and how the bookshop has changed them.

Loved it from beginning to end! What a cute, delicate story.

Fine if you want something easy with a bit of a sad streak throughout. There are way too many POV characters, some of them still being introduced over halfway into the book. All the romances resolve with minimal friction and too simplistically.

A very predictable cutesy novel. Not a very deep plot but it’s enjoyable if you need an easy read.
