I liked this book, it really kept me interested during the middle and I loved the relationship of the two brothers. However I just thought it was missing something, toward the end I kinda lost the narrative slightly....but I loved how it was told as the main character tells the story in a diary kind of way!

I cannot really explain why, but I liked this more than I expected. I understand part of the thing is being stretched between genres and that worked. Still, I also felt it should be one step more of something.

It just wasn't what I thought it was going to be like and I think that threw me off. Incredibly descriptive which set the mood but sometimes a bit overboard for me, it felt redundant at times. I had a hard time connecting to the characters in this story and it didn't get really interesting to me until the last few chapters, which always make a book drag on. This one just wasn't for me.

Not quite sure what to think of this to be honest.
I couldn't properly get into it until the halfway mark. Didn't really connect with any of the characters and felt like we were left in the dark too much. I get that it adds mystery, but when I still don't really get where the story is going halfway through, I really start losing interest.
That said, it's well written and does a great job giving you chills. Once the plot started to properly unfold I enjoyed it much better.
I feel like I was expecting more, after all the good reviews I read about this though.
