The book is great and there is a lot of suspens. But most of the plot twist are obvious. It's a good book but I expected maybe more than that.

Wow I really enjoyed this. I read the majority of it stuck in jury duty all day lol. It was super fast-paced and kept my attention, and I didn't want to stop reading. It was easy to follow what was going on which was good for being stuck in a room with tons of people and noise all day lol. I will definitely try the second book, although I'm not sure it could top this one. After talking with Molly she made me remember that I did find Millie a bit annoying at the beginning because she gets gut feelings that bad things will happen at this job but she ignores them. I liked how it switched to Nina's POV halfway through and alternated a bit. I'm glad I didn't get Andrew's POV.

The Housemaid encapsulates its readers immediately and is difficult to put down. It provides mystery and plot twist after plot twist. It will have you on the edge of your seat until the every last page; even after I am eager to read the next installment.

If I were to judge this one based on how much I liked the characters I would give it a 3 only because the whole cheating storyline and emotional abuse by Nina was a bit tired. That said, as unreasonable this story was I loved it!! I don’t want a thriller that makes complete sense. I want one where I’m not sure what everyone’s motivations are and some wild fight ensues to cap off the climactic drama. That’s this book. It was super easy to read with short chapters which kept me hooked. I kept saying, “okay this chapter is short so I’ll read it,” and then end up reading 50 pages. Millie is fresh but if prison and needs a job where no one will ask what her stint in prison was for. Nina needs a maid to clean her house, take care of her daughter, and manage her life. It’s a meeting made in heaven! When Nina doesn’t seem to do a background check on Millie their seemingly serendipitous relationship begins. Throw in a wildly attractive husband who isn’t home often and a hot Italian Gardner that doesn’t seem to speak English and you’ve got a fun thriller set in the backdrop of wealth and privilege. This one was a bit predictable but still a really great read! I’m excited for the next one after the way this one ended.

Omg this book.I came in think i was just going to be a simple thriller/mystery book my omg it was so much more then ending took me completely by surprise. At first i approached the book slowly and it took 2 days to get completely into it but it's currently 4 in the morning i've read about 83% of the book just in 3 hours i couldn't take my eyes of the book.Of course i thought Nina was out for her but oh my.i love this story,i didn't think i would as much as i do.My emotions were everywhere throughout this book at first i was annoyed at Nina for her rudeness and then happy for millie for being with Andrew because he's such a nice man right?.WRONG i see where he got it from. His woman is a horrible woman i can't imagine what her husband has gone through with her.I can't wait to read the next one!!!.I'm very easy to please and this book did just that.
