With all of the previews swirling for this movie I thought I'd give the book a read and I'm glad I did. I had a feeling I knew where it was going but it ended differently than I had expected, which was a nice shift. I would recommend this to anyone who likes mysteries with surprise endings.

Beach read. Trash but pretty good? Gone girl esque, which I liked. Not the most inspiring but entertaining non the less. Kind of predictable, but I did like the story being told from different narratives. I’d say 6/10, didn’t love the way it was written and I didn’t learn any new words. Ending felt rushed. I don’t see the need for 3 (and a half?) more books in the series, but maybe I’m being a snob!! Anyway, it passed the time nicely on my commutes :)

i never thought about how many non violent ways there are to torture someone. also i guessed the twist halfway through but i was still entertained. the important takeaway is rich people are crazy! 

excited to see the movie now!!
