i think i just need to stop reading bully romances because i don’t see the hype. there is nothing sexy about someone literally almost killing you for no fucking reason. when i tell you, that man needed to be crawling on his hands and knees begging for forgiveness from this girl. smh. they never even addressed what he did to her, and she forgave him instantly.

this felt like it should have been one book and resolved immediately. the plot was unrealistic and dumb and should not have been dragged out as it was. i will not be reading the next book or the ones that came before this one.

this book is so bad, i wanna give it zero stars, but that’s not possible, so i’ll give it 1 ⭐️

I was so excited for this book y’all I have been on my bipoc author journey and it sounds so good in the promos but it really fell flat for me it don’t think the writing style is for me it came off as boring and I didn’t like the characters they were all either poorly flushed out or annoying. The only “good” part about it was the smut but it was few and far between and after every scene there was stupid drama shit that kinda ruined it. Also the ending wasn’t for me there’s nothing that could happen in the next book that would make me like the ending. Booktok mislead me again unfortunately😭 but still I’ll make a pros and cons list
Pros ✨✨:
-the smut
-MC is plus sized
-gay best friend
-cute friend group
-cute family moments
-Bipoc Author
Cons 💔💔:
-unnecessary drama
-boring
-stupid people
-the dude likes to be called wolf 💀
-calls fingers digits
-there isn’t enough smut to supplement how long the book is and the writing style
- cliffhanger ending that didn’t make me wanna read the next book

Over all would i recommend this book? No not really

I actually really liked this! Devoured it. Was there a strong plot? Not really. Is it pretty similar to books with this troupe/plot line? Yes. But there is just something about it that hit the spot. The cliff hanger at the end caught me by surprise and I immediately downloaded the next book.

This book made me so sad. Physically caving in on myself. I feel like I related to a couple of sentences here and there and it reached out to me.

The book was great. Started off a bit rocky (and suspicious) and I didn't really like the characters until their development happened.

Not much of a plot but nice to read, do not expect heart-clenching romance though... it didn't feel like much happened with them until the fallout.

The book end on a cliffhanger.

The writing style is just so odd and hard to read. The numbers of commas used in this book and used incorrectly is super distracting. Like there were soo many sentences written in this format that were just so bad. "This guy was psycho, crazy".  (comma then one word after. It was like the author just discovered this sentence structure). I can't find a good example now of one that was wrong, this one isn't bad but there were so many were and that didn't sound right or make sense.

There were also some sentences that just made no sense, like I knew what each word meant individually but together did not form any type of coherent sentence.
Like what does this sentence mean? How many words are missing?
"Thatcher in particular scrubbed into spiky blades"

I kept reading because I'm easily entertained and hate dnf'ing and wanted to see what happened. I'll read the next one too but I'm pretty sure I know what the main conflict will be in that one.
dark mysterious medium-paced

This book was something but not a in a good way. I think I was expecting more. I seen it on tiktok (really need to stop doing that) and I was just expecting more spice, more plot, just more. It was a bit all over the place, their feelings made no sense, and the cliff hanger annoyed the hell out of me. My guilty please in romance is enemies to lovers, a possessive touch her and you will die sort of man, I even don’t mind bully romance. But this was abusive, it wasn’t attractive and all. And concerning that the female character just let it slide. Nope no thank you!
