ahhhhhhh!!!!! Omg!!!!! So that ending was just pure evil but also absolutely hysterical. I am so incredibly excited for book 2. I don’t even know how I’m supposed to wait for it lol. Eden you mad woman! I love fawn and wolf! Love them!!! So excited!!!
I wanted to like this book so bad bc I had seen so many tiktoks but I think I just liked the idea of those scenes. Plus, Fawn is explicitly plus size and and I love a fat romance. But oh my god not even the plus size rep could save this one.
The writing is so juvenile and clunky. A lot of descriptions are just “adjective, adjective” like “He was god-like, beautiful” AND I GOT SO ANNOYED. There were THREE descriptions like that ON THE SAME PAGE! Not to mention the sentence structure is confusing, “What the fuck actually are you doing” rather than just “What the actual fuck are you doing”. Very passive which is ironic given the content.
The characters suck. Fawn maybe had potential but not enough to keep me interested. Ares is just…insufferable. His favorite words are definitely “fuck” and “shit.” I also find it laughable how huge he’s supposed to be. Two feet taller than Fawn and buffer than Thor and Hulk? Without steroids? Bitch please.
I have to admit I do not like bully romances. With enemies to lovers there’s at least respect bc each person realizes the power the other has, but bully romances hinge too much on the humiliation of one party and I just cannot vibe with that.

Honestly, the messiness of a “plot” was distracting from the good bits. It’s like the author wanted to fit in too many extra plot points! There are far too many unanswered and disregarded questions. Also, it calls itself a fake dating book but like…doesn’t really do it? Maybe I missed something but I doubt that. Wouldn’t recommend beyond SOME decent smut—some!
